Calling East Bay Software Engineering Talent of Color...

Kapor Center’s Pathways to Tech Initiative is teaming up with Airbnb to host an engaging virtual info session that can help you land your next job!

Applications will soon open for Connect, Airbnb’s paid software engineering apprenticeship in their San Francisco Bay Area location.  The program is for local talent and is not fully virtual/remote.

This is a six month opportunity (beginning in May) to build onramps to full-time software engineering roles specifically for applicants who:

*Do not possess four-year computer science degrees

*Have learned software engineering from a bootcamp, community college, or are self-taught

*Have no prior or less that one year of professional software engineering experience

*Can write basic functions and implement control flow in a programming language of their choice

*Can understand the basics of at least one framework (e.g., React, Rails, Express)

*Can convert a problem to code and explain their approach.   

Join us to hear directly from the program’s leaders plus alumni apprentices who've converted into Associate Software Engineering Roles.  You’ll also gain tips for prepping and applying that will help you stand out.  

This event is for East Bay Area residents of color underrepresented in tech (those from African-American, Latinx, American Indian/Native American, Pacific Islander, Southeast Asian backgrounds).
